How to make a cape?

A valid cape must follow these requirements:

• The cape width must be at least 64px wide.
• The cape height must exactly be half the cape's width.
• The cape width must be a binary number by a power of 2, here are some examples:
  • 64
  • 128
  • 256
  • 512
• The cape image must be a PNG file. Any other format may cause the cape to be rendered wrong.
• The cape cannot (yet) be an animated image.
• The cape image must be uploaded to a website that allows you to get a direct link to the image. Imgur would be a good option as it allows you to upload images without making an account.

How to use your image?

To use your cape image in-game, you must copy the direct link to it.
When in-game, you can either open the gui by pressing v on your keyboard and paste your link there, or use the /setcape url <your url here> command.
